Most hosts already do the work: efficient appliances, refill dispensers, proper waste separation, sensible linen policies. What they don't have is a credible way to show it. Guests scanning listings can't tell the difference between a genuine effort and a green sticker in a photo.

Green Short Stay exists to close that gap. Each property type is assessed against a fixed, published set of criteria across six areas, scored out of 100, and awarded Bronze, Silver or Gold. Nothing is negotiable and nothing is scored on how well a listing is written.

Every official submission is reviewed by a person against uploaded photos and documents. If the evidence doesn't support an answer, the item doesn't score. Paying the fee buys a review — never a result.

Certificates are valid for 24 months, because practices drift and equipment ages. Renewal costs less than the first assessment.
