The standard

How certification works

Every property is assessed against the same fixed criteria for its type. Nothing is subjective, and nothing is scored on marketing language.

Six assessment areas

The exact items differ per property type, but the shape is always the same.

A

Energy

Appliances, lighting, heating and cooling behaviour.

B

Water

Fixtures, leak checks, linen and towel practices.

C

Waste

Separation, bulk supplies and single-use reduction.

D

Materials & supplies

Cleaning products, amenities and durable goods.

E

Guest experience

Information, mobility guidance and local sourcing.

F

Operations

Maintenance routines, monitoring and documentation.

From assessment to certificate

  1. 1

    Free self-assessment

Pick your property type and work through the six sections. You'll see your score, a breakdown per section and prioritised recommendations. Nothing is published and no account is created.

  2. 2

    Official intake

Enter your property details and listing link, and accept the fixed price. You receive a reference code — no online payment; an invoice follows by email.

  3. 3

    Evidence submission

The same questions again, this time with photos or PDFs attached per item. Anything you claim as in place needs a file behind it.

  4. 4

    Human review

An assessor checks each item against your evidence and may request extra documents. Results arrive within 10 business days.

  5. 5

    Certificate and badge

You receive your tier, score breakdown and badge assets. The certificate is valid for 24 months.
